Ok so I finally took delivery of my Gen 2 GTS. I first ordered in February for an anticipated June/July delivery so end of October I don’t think is too bad given all the production problems in the world.
I did the handover at the OPC but I didn’t get them to touch the car. It then got taken by enclosed trailer to get PPF on the front end with ceramic over the top of the PPF. Also got the wheels fully done with ceramic and exhaust tips and the gloss black B and C pillars. Not really driven it much but here are my initial thoughts on a few of the options I was undecided on;
Seats - I went with the 18 way and they are very very comfy. I’m 6 2 and just under 14 stone and they fit nicely. I’ve heard people talk about them being too tight or difficult to get in and out of but I don’t recognise either of these points, very glad I picked this option, it also gives you the seats in full leather and memory options which makes it not too bad a price.
Standard Stereo - I’m more of a radio man but I think this is pretty good and definitely acceptable. My previous car was a 340 with HK and I can’t tell the difference
Exhaust - the exhaust noise is brilliant, nice and throaty. I was concerned with DPF it would ruin it but it hasn’t. Never heard a Gen 1 but suspect they sound fantastic as I’m led to believe Gen 2 is quieter
Carbon dash - chose this as a last minute change and I’m glad I did. One thing I didn’t realise though is that the Macan GTS cill is still in the brushed aluminium so they don’t match. Not a big deal but worth thinking about it if your also speccing the carbon
Red GTS lettering - expensive for what it is but I think adds much more and looks great

On handover I got a great look round the showroom and workshop which was good and then the SE visited my house when the car was back from the detailers and gave me a very nice large coffee mug and set of espresso cups.

Overall I’m really pleased and looking forward to heading out on some longer journeys and getting it run in.

I much prefer the front and rear of the Gen2.Not keen on all that plastic on the Gen 3.

That looks great, also getting dolomite :)

Are you able to share the costs for what you had done and how long it took?

I’m contemplating ceramic coating and maybe PPF. What products did they use for the ceramic?

Thanks and enjoy your new car

Interesting the change in colour (assuming its the same camera being used) in the second photo and the last, both outside tho the angle of the sun is different.

The car actually looked pretty good with the travel wraps on. I suppose it's few years down the line that the money spent on detailing looks worthwhile.

Enjoy your new car, the Gen 2 GTS is an awesome machine.
