Dreadful things! They trap road salt and grit against the rim, and come the time to change tyres, some places will charge you extra for refitting them. Thumbs Down

You'd be much better off with some tyre and wheel insurance IMHO...

I had a small moment of muppetry where I over cut a corner and clipped the curb accelerating left onto a motorway doing circa 40 yesterday and was fully ready to see some rim damage when I stopped but to my surprise the tyre had a smudge but not the rim. Ah the joys of 20' sports classics.

Glad to see you ended up OK with the 20" sports classics Peter. Us 18" lads can treat most kerbs with a certain disdain - in fact, quite useful sometimes!

I have the 19's, of course there are 21's but was not aware there were 20's. Do you mean this design in a 20"?

You can't get a 20" Sport Classic to my knowledge, most likely Peter means the 20" Sport Design. I'm having them on mine but am sorely tempted to have them refinished in gunmetal.

Avoid Alloygators like the plague in my opinion. In addition to the warnings from "JohnP" the most serious concern is that if fitted to the front wheels especially, the tyre flexing on cornering will lead them to eventually creep out from between the tyre and rim. If the securing clip then breaks the whole thing can then flail around at speed and do a LOT of damage to the bodywork.
A bit of online searching will reveal this issue.
