I share that theory. I have experience fro mmy RS4 - came on Pirelli, I changed to Michelin PS4S's last year, and it was like a different car...some of that will be old tyres for new, but everyone that drove it after were mightily impressed...then I sold it, after only 1k miles on the new tyres...

was secretly gutted when the Macan came on Pirelli's.

watched a vid on youtube that suggests either Conti or Goodyear were the top winters by a long way (I'll find and post later tonight as I cant remember which one...)

Thanks. Yes, the Michelin PS4Ss are the ones that folks seem to rave about on Rennlist too.

I expect my Carrera T will come on Pirellis (as I'm guessing they're cheaper to supply than fitting cars with Michelins).

I would expect that Porsche winter wheel/tyre sets probably come on Pirellis too... :ugeek:

VanB and Nick - did your GTSs come on Pirellis...?

Yep, P Zeros. Would have preferred Michies but we can't choose can we? I'll just have to get it run in, wear out the tyres quick then slap on some new ones.

BTW - my winter set for the Macan are Dunlop, no choice on that either!

Thats the vid i saw, seems to be a good level of review...there are a few more that he does that go in to different tyres for different situations...better than just picking on price/hearsay.

Right now, there’s nowt wrong with the Pirellis, they’ll do until winter i think!

I asked if i could get Michelin fitted, they said the factory just uses what it has available. No choice and no guarantee on what it will come with.

Only question I have is, what do I have to say to the insurance company at that time? technically the wheels would be a mod...
Congrats on the motor + well worth mentioning to insurance company when you change to winters and change back - just to cover yourself + shouldn't be any extra charge 👍
