I will be, but wont purchase until c. September. need to replenish my funds...I'll just go with the options from Porsche...thinking a set of GTS wheels for winter...

Only question I have is, what do I have to say to the insurance company at that time? technically the wheels would be a mod...

I would have thought that the insurance company would be grateful, as surely by fitting winter tyres/wheels, you're reducing the chances of a collision/claim...?

That's exactly my thinking. especially as people continue to use budget tyres on their cars, effectively making them worse in performance. never skimp on tyres...buy the best you can afford.

Can't help noticing, on the subject of buying the best, that on the Rennlist 991 Forum, there is virtually universal agreement that Michelins are superior to Pirellis...

I share that theory. I have experience fro mmy RS4 - came on Pirelli, I changed to Michelin PS4S's last year, and it was like a different car...some of that will be old tyres for new, but everyone that drove it after were mightily impressed...then I sold it, after only 1k miles on the new tyres...

was secretly gutted when the Macan came on Pirelli's.

watched a vid on youtube that suggests either Conti or Goodyear were the top winters by a long way (I'll find and post later tonight as I cant remember which one...)
