Chaps I think we might have had this discussion before, there appears to be a difference of opinion. The guys at the OPC say that as long as the engine is warm, you can drive it like you want. The GT3 comes with a blue cold engine symbol in the right hand dial, once that goes out you can blast it.Wing Commander wrote: ↑Tue Apr 03, 2018 10:05 pm
Maybe the 'guidance' of a maximum of around 4,000 rpm for the first 1,800 miles (?) or so doesn't apply to GT3s?

Reminds me of my model car racing days. I blew an engine and duly fitted a new piston. Then seized that by tootling about. I should have got up to speed sooner. Cost me £40.

Didn't take it any other way VanB, I thought I'd share the OPC info on the issue. Very difficult to driving it under 4000rpm as the engine just wants you to rev it!

Same advice as they give at the PEC, after all those cars are thrashed from day 1!MacanArif wrote:Didn't take it any other way VanB, I thought I'd share the OPC info on the issue. Very difficult to driving it under 4000rpm as the engine just wants you to rev it!

Anyone else with a rear view camera on their 911? I've got it on mine, as the GT3 has no parking aids whatsoever so thought it would be a good idea to spec the rear camera which was available on the options list. The point I wanted to make was that I think the image is stunning, not the usual fuzzy picture you get from these things - am wondering whether they've put new cameras on the latest 911s?

I have not seen a 991.2 camera in use but the one on my 991.1 is great but it gets covered with muck/water quickly.
The PCM is the older one so the screen resolution will be less I guess, but I think it is very good, in particular the tracking lines are a good aid to getting in tight gaps.

Got one on mine. Finding it difficult to get used to it as have only ever had sensors before, but it is confidence inspiring to see whats behind when the beeps are gong off.
