My friend bought this March 2017 registered Macan SD in Sapphire Blue with black leather interior.
Bought and delivered to his home by the dealer. It was a 1 x owner, 40,500 m vehicle, just serviced
and for £33k. It looks brand new inside and out!

He's dead chuffed as they gave him a great price for his trade-in....without even seeing it in advance.

That is a very good deal. Whay dealership was that?
I got mine down to £31,275 but paying £33k (excl. vat) as the deal includes 2 year warranty and roadside assist.

It is. Does make me wonder how much the part ex value of mine will have dropped from the offer in March when actual trade in time comes. :(

Certainly not an origional reg. GIW would have been issued in County Derry some time in the early eighties.

My OPC honoured the p/ex agreed in March even though the delivery and exchange was eventually done on 1 June.

It's up for sale there now at £40,850.

They are actively looking for secondhand Porsches to buy too. They had 11 Macans for sale on 1 June, but by today only 5.

Interesting you say that because it certainly appears that there is a much reduced number of used Macans on the likes of Autotrader and Pistonheads for example, even from this time last week.

So, with the lockdown restrictions easing in Scotland from a week today (3rd July), i am finally able to look forward to the trip from Glasgow to Leicester to collect the car.

Having put the deposit on the car i have had 4 weeks to mull over the PCP quotation that i have agreed to. The media has drawn me to articles about used cars, depreciation, best deals, personal loans etc and naturally it has made me think about the deal. I wouldn't mind running some of that past you, for comfort or perhaps confirmation of my niggles.

(DETAILS OF CAR ON FIRST POST)

Sale Price: £33,000
(Order Form: £31250 - Car / £250 - 2 years Road side assistance / £1500 - 2 years warranty)
Deposit: £1500
To Pay: £31500
48 months PCP, 8000 miles
6.8% APR
Final Payment: ~£21400
Total Amount Payable: ~£40200

My thoughts - the monthly is great, the final payment seems high, total amount payable means there is no "hand it back option at 50%", meaning keeping the car the full term.

I plan on keeping the car the full term but with all the uncertainty of the economy, the final payment and lack of "get out" concerns me.

What are everyones thoughts? Take Porsche Finance, personal loan from bank, or ...?

The 4 weeks of waiting hasn't done me any favours in terms of over thinking 🙈
