Quite frankly I find it amazing that they think this is acceptable!!
You can spend £10k on a mini or the like and not have this but spend £50k plus on a Porsche and they seem to make up all manner of excuses to avoid admitting they have cheap manufacturing processes which will result in these ‘visual defects’
That's the second lot of tosh I've heard from an OPC on these boards today. I think I'd be onto Porsche GB. And I'd be asking said dealer to show you where in the warranty documentation it says this type of defect is specifically excluded.

....and that the car would pass an MOT with those headlights.......?!

Just out of interest , Can you prove that only Porsche approved screen washer additive has been used that has been approved for use with plastic headlamps?

Not quite sure where you statement came from or why your asking but i have many bottles of porsche supplied screen wash that i seem to stockpile and only use in the macan. I rarely top up as rarely if ever have i used the button that activates the headlight washers.

Apparently so, the service manager said the porsche technician states it would NOT affect the MOT.

However another issue i have is if i were to trade in do you honestly think a Porsche salesman would say “oh those headlights are fine and we wont drop your trade in price because its normal for a Porsche headlight to loom like that”

The information I quote is from my handbook, it clearly states what I said. Just pointing it out.

I guarantee that the Porsche sales guy would deduct the cost of two new headlamp units from any trade in value. When I traded in my one year old Panamera 4, the cost of a headlight unit was deducted due to an imperfection barely visible with the naked eye.

Yet they (Porsche OPC’s) are quite happy to sell an imperfect car, new or otherwise

If this is at Tewkesbury, that's made it an easy decision for me to stay with Solihull? They are both exactly 27 miles from me, so was toying with switching just to see if any different?

Nope, Solihul is where i have both my cars serviced. And the staff are quoting Porsche GB comments and previous experience with recent customers with same issue.
