Don't bother with local dealer, go to Porsche UK and get the real story.

Local OPC normally will be more forthcoming than Porsche GB, so always give a quick call to your friendly Service Mgr there first up.
Certainly if your vehicle's within the applicable VIN codes, WLE9 will be totally FOC, and is scheduled for up to 2 hours, as mine was. Transfer box itself doesn't need to be removed from vehicle but prop shaft does and, I also heard, on non-V6 models, the exhaust centre section. On mine, the transfer box reportedly had its oil and filter element replaced, but I wasn't given a service invoice for the work (just a stamp) so don't know volumes/dimensions/quantities. As stated before, I'm told the oil is thicker and the filter element beefier. The latter so it doesn't tend to break up so readily / begin to malfunction prematurely, which is what has been happening on a large number of Macans.

I mentioned it here: viewtopic.php?f=26&t=9997&start=10#p199363

(We could do with a 'sticky' for Service Campaigns; just a list of the designations and a brief description. I've had WG22, AJ07, WKL0 (all DME) and WLE9 (Transfer Case Fluid) so far ...)
Did you notice any drop in performance or ingreased fuel consumption following the DME WKLO campain being downloaded? Not sure whether I should have this done?

Sorry, but I only drove it once (back from the OPC) between having the update and selling it!

I think that a few other SD owners have had it done, so maybe they can comment.
