I found Porsche head office, customer services to be great, just drop then a note and you get back all the info you need, straight from the horses mouth so to speak.

Any chance of knowing what transfer box info you gleaned - anything of use to the rest of us?

Did you get charged for this or was it a freebie?

I am trying to get the OPC to change the ATF in the transfer box prior to me collecting the car next week, but they won't have it, saying I will have to pay the £170.

Suppose as it's almost 3 litres at a cost of £120 it's probably worth having done.

Yup, just had it done in mine (WLE9) last week. Makes a difference too - touch smoother selection through the gears as it's changing down while braking, at close to standstill speeds. Also smoother changing up when giving it some welly while turning, eg taking off at T-junction into small gap of traffic
Apparently it's replacement oil (thicker) and filters (beefier) in the 'box so that everything performs less clunkily :P
Certainly worth doing and certainnly an improvement.

Filters in the box? Do they have to remove the box to change them?
So not just a straight drain and refill🤔

How would you know if a car is affected by the recall and whether it has already been done?
