Hi all
I have a warning saying I need to top up. What is the recommended oil for a 2016 Macan GTS please?
Correct oil for a 2016 GTS Macan?
Mobil 1. Just put in your registration number for the exact grade.....

There should be a sticker in your engine bay specifying the correct oil grade.

Yeah, mine only has the Mobil 1 sticker and on-line look-up from reg plate has given me both 0W-40 and 5W40 recommendations so far.Nuclear Nick wrote: ↑Wed Sep 30, 2020 9:01 pmSome do, but many don’t, with only a Mobil 1 sticker. Like mine, for example.
I shall speak to my dealer before I top up.

Should have for Gen1 models Porsche Approved A40 on it at least GEN 2 require Porsche approved C40 (C30 if climate prefers 0 -30w) which will be ok in Gen1 higher sulpher standard needed for Gen2 Petrol particle filter I understand

Bit of a thread resurrection, but just had a warning pop up that I needed to top up the oil on my GTS.
Surprised as never had to top up a modern car between services
I guess as it been 9,000 since the previous service it's acceptable?
Used 500 ml of Mobil 1 0/40, ran the car for 10 minutes and went to check the level to see if it needed the full litre.
I am now getting message that oil level measurement is currently not available.
Why would this be? Isn't a 10 minute run sufficient to allow the level to be tested, the car was warm as was the oil.

if you have a message to top up it safely take the full litre. I had it on mine on Saturday and immediately after filling the MFD test was showing reading not available. Today on first use since the MFD screen was showing full but not over full

Sometimes takes a while to display the level after a top up. I was half way down a few weeks ago before a long drive so put in half a litre and it took a couple of days to display.JurassicGTS wrote: ↑Tue Jun 08, 2021 7:33 pm Bit of a thread resurrection, but just had a warning pop up that I needed to top up the oil on my GTS.
