Extended warranty? Porsche or AN Other.

I had to pay for the 111 point check but have read some others haven't. Don't think it is charged if included with a service.

For (I think) £60 Edinburgh offered me this and it includes £40 off the 111 point check and 10% off parts and labour

Slightly off topic but is the “service” offered to you by OPC Edinburgh widely available? Does it have a name so I can ask if my local OPC provides? Cheers

Don't know. they called it 'Exclusive Customer'. Belong to Sytner Group and have OPCs in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leicester, Mid Sussex, Silverstone and Solihull.

It might just be Sytner but if you are near one of their dealerships it would be interesting to know

Was contacted today by my local Porsche garage asking was I interested in extending the warranty and was told they no longer charge for the 111 point check.

Well, that’s a surprise. I wonder, though, if it applies to all OPCs.

It's not that they don't charge for it, they don't require it at the moment. I had my warranty extended at Hatfield OPC(owned by Porsche Uk) a couple of weeks ago. They told me that due to Covid regs they're not doing the checks. I just had to go in and they photographed the car and took the mileage.
As it has always been serviced by them and had no outstanding recalls i was good to go. Warranty extended for another 2 years and saved me £200 for the checks. Good result.

I was told recently by my SA that 111 check is no longer needed if your car is still under original or extended warranty.

Yes it is, I’m extending my warranty in April for 24 months, no inspection fee

1 year is £800 & 2 year £1440 incl VAT

so if you car is outside of warranty do you still have access to the Porsche extended warranty without an inspection? PS I bought in 2017 from OPC Hatfield
