To the best of my knowledge, if your car has active inner headlights then it is fitted with halogen headlights. As I said in an earlier post, the inner headlights act as DRLs on cars fitted with halogen headlights. For both Bi-Xenon and LED headlights, the inner headlights are dummies.
As others have pointed out (and I had forgotten) the strip below the headlight unit provides the sidelight function as well as indicator.
I think youre right. as the head lights were a bright white and my friends 2015 Macan has yellow tint lights I presumed I had xenons. seems not. such a shame on a 2016 post face lift model thought id have the 4 spot lights. oh well....
