2018 GTS Whistling noise @ 1200 rpm

My 2018 GTS (26k miles) has started to make a very strange noise.
At around 1200-1400 rpm you can hear a sort of whistling noise from the engine, this can be on acceleration or deceleration which is very weird.
It happens all of the time once the engine is warm.
Any ideas? The car is to be booked in for its major service soon and new discs and pads. Still in warranty until April so hopefully it will be covered.
