Hi guys

We've had the Macan now for a month but the air con doesn't work! A warmish day today and it was hot in the car, so had it on the lowest setting with the A/C on and the air blowing was warm! I will make a call to the OPC tomorrow and book it in to be looked at. Pretty poor and frustrating to have to take it back to be sorted.

Anyone else had this issue?

I'm not certain - but I think you have to actually press the A/C button to the top right of the centre console to activate the cooling function? So the button is lit when cooling is activated? The good to Know App seems to think so? I'm pretty sure my Boxster works exactly in the converse - you press the button to de-activate it? - worth a try if you haven't already of course ... :-)

Yep - I had that on and also tried the max A/C, to no avail! We are now awaiting a technical engineer to call back.

I would guess at a stone strike or leaking seal on the a/c radiator.

No drips or leaks at all that I can see.

There wouldn't be. If a seal blows all the refrigerant evaporates.

So it's now booked into my local OPC next month to have the AC looked at as I'm off on holiday for a few weeks. She's been allocated an A6 as a loaner for the weekend

I'll update on findings once we've had it looked at.

Cheers

So I've returned from a nice holiday away from the storms and dropped the car off today to have it looked at. Phone call later this afternoon to say there is an issue with the wiring loom that is causing the issue with the A/C and that they need to remove the steering column. They are looking to have the car back to me next Friday so have given me a loaner until then......
