Service interval by mileage or date?

I recently received an email from my dealer to say my Macan is due for a service in October or in 19000 miles from now. What is takes precedent? I have emailed twice to ask and weirdly have not received a response to this question. Any thoughts on this appreciated.

If you look at the option in your MFD, you’ll see when the next services are due, which is far more accurate than the OPC estimation!

Whichever is soonest. MFD will tell you exactly when service is due as Allan has said - vehicle- info - service 👍

My MFD says next service Dec 2024 but oil service in 11000 miles at July 24. I've always changed oil once a year or at most 10000 miles -Question - If I get an indi to change my oil next January will the MFD recognise that the oil is new and push the next oil change forward ti Dec 24 ? Also if I do this will it invalidate the warranty ?

Don’t think manufacturers warranties can be invalidated by independents providing manufacturers specifications for the work are followed.

Oil condition monitoring with age and mileage top limits. Look at the info subscreen on the vehicle MFD screen. That data is sent from the car to Porsche and that triggers the email

Scooby Doo, Just do a few long trips and watch your 'July 24' oil change date start to move closer to your 'Dec 24' full service. Macans do not like short trips and make you pay for them by reducing the interval between oil changes. I purposely only drive mine on longest trips (I use my wife's Fiat 500e for the short stuff) and have watched the oil change date at handover move from Feb 2024 to March 2025 so it now aligns nicely with it's first service at 2yrs old, sorted.............................

Only if the Indi resets the info on the car to record the oil change because of the date and mileage elements to trigger alongside oil condition. My OPC forgot to do that last time and i got apologies the next time I was in for something else which was MOT and winter/summer tyre set swop.
