I've always changed oil once a year or at most 10000 miles -Question - If I get an indi to change my oil next January will the MFD recognise that the oil is new and push the next oil change forward ti Dec 24 ? Also if I do this will it invalidate the warranty ?
Unless the system is updated, when you drive away from the Indi the MFD will still show oil change at July 24 and 10,000 miles. Depending on how you use the car the mileage should extend.

If the system is updated the intial reading will be 10,000 miles or two years (i.e. Jan 2026). If you always do an annual oil change then both oil change and service will be back in sync in December 2024.

I carry out an interim oil service myself using a Porsche oil filter and correct spec Mobil 1. I have the scheduled oil changes carried out by Porsche, nothing has ever been said. Best of both world as I know it’s had double the oil services required and full Porsche service stamps. I also keep the receipts for the next owner to prove it’s had more regular oil changes.
I think 19k and two years is far too long for an oil change.

My first service is incoming - anyone have a schedule of what is changed/done? Would I be able to supply some of the consumables such as oil, oil filter etc?

You could but I would imagine whatever margin they'll lose on the consumables will appear in the labour charge. They could also refuse to fit the filter claiming it is hard to prove it's OEM and not faked.

Oil condition monitoring

I don't think the car actively monitors the condition of the oil - it simply calculates engine revolutions, temperatures and driving time. I think it also counts number of cold starts. It's an estimation, not a direct measurement of when you should change your oil.

If you do shorter journeys with lots of cold starts (not ever getting up to temperature) then the algorithm will tell you to change sooner. Vice versa with longer journeys where the engine gets up to temp and doesn't cycle from fully hot to fully cold and back again so much.

This is the 1st service at 2 years old that I had for my GTS in May 2022.

I declined the Air Con service and their attempt to charge for the panoramic roof's drain clearance check.

Steve, a couple of points on your invoice intrigue me. Your car is only five months older than mine, the underbonnet sticker in my car says the correct oil is 0w/30 (which is what my OPC used) yet your invoice shows 5W/30. Also the quantity of oil used is either 12L or 1L. Mine only took 8L.

It's definitely 8L in the V6. 12L would be spilling out of the filler cap!!!
