Hi,

I just bought a Macan S and always thought that the fuel would be 98 Ron, however on checking the manual it stated 95 Ron no alternative, all other being 98 with 95 as alternate.

However on the fuel cap it seems to suggest 98 Ron but 95 can be used. See attached pics.

I will check with the OPC for their thoughts, but thought I'd get some feedback here first to understand it better.

Thanks

You can use any unleaded fuel with 95 the minimum.

I predominantly use Tesco 99 Momentum ;) but never had any issue with any unleaded.

I run on V-Power.

Don’t ever but that E10 sh** in your car. Especially if you plan to keep the car for a decent term.

Go by the sticker on the fuel flap as that applies to your vehicle. Manuals have to cover a range of model variants. But you can use 95 without causing any issues.

I’d agree with trying to use mostly E5. Ethanol is a useless ‘filler’ that politicians wrongly think is greener but it increases fuel consumption and over time absorbs moisture.

Here's what Shell state: https://www.shell.co.uk/fuels-oils-and- ... eaded.html

For me when buying cars of this value then it makes sense to always use the best fuel possible......Even in my ageing T6 transporter i still use premium disiel as it keeps the pesky EML emissions light at bay (for a little while longer)
