Mmmmmmmmm! I was suspecting the door window seal on the drivers side as I can hear wind noise around 70mph. Will check that it's not the A/C as you have mentioned next time I am out and report back. I had been running the A/C on 'LO' or certainly cool when hearing the wind noise so that certainly may be it.
Tried this morning with A/C off and can still here wind noise around 70mph from drivers window area. It maybe because rest of car is so quiet and wing mirrors are quite large but anyone else noted it??

My worst rattle started at 6000 miles, coming from the drivers side, a big plastic cover which goes from the footwell up to the under side of the dash. it seems to be only secured in three sides, the bottom just fits over the brake and accelerator pedal arms. 3M VHB - that 'bugger' will never come unstuck! Used it on exact same place on mine to attach plastic to metal - just once!

My worst rattle is my Barbour jacket!! When on the back seat and in a certain position the metal buttons have this annoying rattle which drives me round the bend.
At my jacket is always in a position where I just can't reach it.
Other than that I've been quite lucky although the side door compartment on the passenger side sometimes creaks.
I can't stand rattles.

All quiet at the moment but we live in Essex and have to use a country lane to get anywhere so i'm sure a few rattles will soon arrive.
I've never had a rattle free car for long, my father was quite obsessive about it and had little pieces of rag dangling everywhere in his truck.

There is a whine coming from the driver side of the engine bay. Only short bursts but at a frequency which intrudes. Mostly on cold mornings although it happened en route during a recent road trip when the engine was toasty after a long run......
