I was under the impression that launch control was only available with the Sports Chrono option but I had an S Diesel demonstrator for the weekend and had a quick scan of the manual. It seemed to imply that launch control was available when you pressed either the Sport button or the Sport Plus button which might imply that it was available on all Macans.

I only tried launch control with the Sport Plus button (hilarious Big smile) but I wondered if anyone without Sports Chono had tried it? Do you get it with just a Sport button?

I don't need launch control - I'm just an expert at getting off the line

And launch control only comes with Sport Chrono.

Maybe Launch control can work with just the Sport button on, but only if you have Chrono.

Heres another thing I was thinking... If Sport Plus is on, does that switch off start/stop?

Sport and sport plus will turn off start/ stop... But the car will default to Miss Daisy mode if you turn the ignition off.

Here is a quote from my earlier post..

"Bumbo - I was giving you the benefit of the doubt, but you sound like Jumbo! One liners or rather half a line of negative input sounds very much like Jumbo so I can not help it and as I say I was giving you some scope. If you justify your position (please) it will be accepted."

Someone is being rumbled unless they buck up..

Guys, I also thought that launch control was only available with Sport Chrono Pack but when my Turbo arrived I was informed that it had launch control. To activate put the car into sport, depress the brake pedal, floor the throttle then release the brake and hold on tight. I can tell you this is an absolute blast, especially in the drive thru at Maccy D's (I jest of corse) It's Burger King

Drove to the next window sir.... 3-2-1...Big smile

You should try it pulling out of a junction with the wheels turned - Point and go - it's even better turning at the same time!

It is awesome!

Thumbs Up

Do you get the message "Launch Control Activated" in the centre dial on the dash? Maybe Turbos have it even without Sport Chrono?

Can anyone with a diesel and without Sports Chrono confirm that you have launch control? You might just save me £750.
