Thanks for that Steve

Working on the basis of your 6.04 to 62 that would indicate that the SD will actually do 0-62 in around 5.8 seconds. Looks like Porsche have been a little conservative with their claimed 0-62 times, I'll have to try that out for myself.Approve
Think it was What Car in one of their early tests v an SQ5 that measured/reported the SD as 5.9 secs to 60.

But 62 is not 60. As a guide, the USA catalogue has times to 60 which are 0.2s less for a petrol S than the European catalogue has to 62 (100km/h).

(I once I had a BMW 325i whose 0-60 time was a lot better than 0-62 because it hit the limiter at 60 in 2nd gear.)

If you try the app guys, mounting it extremely solidly is key or your results will be random. Upon launch it will normally fly across the cabin.

The timer auto starts with g force, so unless absolutely firm, you can get an artificially fast time to 62.

The best way I have found it to hold it horizontally in the hole ( it's the perfect width to wedge an iPhone 6)
in front of the centre console. This will be difficult with the smoker package possibly. Anyway, there is more than one way to skin a cat, I am sure you will figure it out.

Good luck

Steve

If you have SC, you can record the telemetry to SD card :)
But that uses the car's idea of your speed which will likely be a few mph lower than true speed.
You can use the GPS in your phone, but that will generally have a couple of tenths lag.

So if you're having a pissing contest, use the same mechanism/app/phone on all runs.
