- - Track skip buttons on the steering wheel (my Volvo has this and I miss it in the Porsche)

The rh screen does that very well when audio is selected, all controlled on the st wheel.

That analogue speedo is as much use as a chocolate fireguard but apparently another Porsche "tradition"

The central prominent rev counter is a Porsche tradition.
Five dials are a Porsche tradition (still in 911 and Panamera).
I suspect that the analogue/dial speedo is more of a legal requirement?
(I had a rental car recently with no digital speedo reading & I really missed it!)

500PS and 100KG lighter.
That's quite easily possible.
Spec a new one with just SC no air pano 19"so etc.
But I drove one the very same and it didn't feel any noticeably quicker than my heavy optioned Macan ie tow bar Air Pano 21"s PTV

500ps is easy via Racechip

yes but it read as they asked for 500ps lighter Wink
500 lbs lighter sounds awesome.. carbon fibre and more composite would be appreciated

Presumably it's waiting for a fully electronic dash display to make an appearance. I've not had a chance to play with one in other makes that use them (eg Audi), but I'm guessing/hoping that it gives you the choice of more than one dash layout and you can opt for the one that you prefer (or at least the one that offends you least) as the default.

Lots of choices of dash layout in the Panamera, but you can't 'delete' the analogue speedo dial...

Clarity of display is very impressive. Wing Commander2017-04-15 13:10:57

A new one? The annoying rear wiper automatically sweeping when the gear selector passes through reverse when first starting if the wiper stalk has been left on automatic.

OK, one that I've yet to see implemented on any car:

A slot for a small USB stick on which could be stored your personal preferences for all the car's 1001 settings. (I say USB, but in principle whatever was the most useful/flexible interface type, could even be eg Bluetooth to a phone/tablet/laptop.)

The point would be that there would be a paired piece of software running on a PC, laptop, tablet etc etc, which you could review eg from the comfort of your favourite armchair and which could present all the various settings options in more easily-accessed detail than is possible via the dash interface. Larger screen devices could also show much more Help information, maybe even explanatory videos.

As advised by the instructor at PEC the analogue speedo with marked increments of 25 mph is a tradition even if it is totally worthless!
