800x480 actually. Which is fine considering you're not supposed to be reading tiny 10pt text on it.

It does get warm yes, but not because of the display, but because of what's behind it.

Its not fine it sucks, the resolution is less than PAL DVD which the PCM is supposed to be able to play.

A Samsung Tab of 2010 had a greater resolution than our PCM screens

PAL DVD is interlaced 720×576
So effectively 720x288 and the that's designed for 4:3 ratios.

Nowhere did I say hate, I said it sucks, Porsche put in a low res screen with what seems at least 8 year old tech.

Whilst the Macan system works the fact that once in CarPlay mode we get crap text on screen shows to me that Porsche engineering had a lot to learn in designing the Macan PCM and as we see in the new Panny PCM they learned well
