Fig. 107: Brightness button and light sensor

The lighting is automatically adjusted to the ambient brightness by the light sensor B.

In addition, when the vehicle lighting is switched on, the instrument and switch brightness can be adjusted manually.


Turn adjustment button A (Fig. 108) in the appropriate direction and hold until the desired brightness has been reached.

Thanks Dandock - looks like the horseshoe light returns to the user ambient setting during driving; off, on, dimmed as set on that o/h button as stated by goron.

It is memorised between drives and I have found it too bright when pitch dark even when partly dimmed and had to turn it off so is probably not light dependent (only the instrument binnacle is?) It does come on fully when the door is open so it ends up working like most courtesy lights on during entry and off when driving! Oh well interesting while it lasted!
