Wipers
Although we are very happy with our Macan, little thought seems to have gone in to the design of the wipers on the car. At the front it is impossible to lift the wipers where they hold in position to clean the windscreen and the back is the same. Having owned many different makes and models, I have never experienced this before. Apologies for my rant as it may seem a trivial matter to some. Any other thoughts on this. There's no such issue on my Cayman!

Basically, the ignition switch/wiper switch thing detailed in the manual just lifts the wipers up the screen and leaves them there so you're able to lift them off the screen to change them or was the screen.
It'll become clear when you do it and you'll understand the distinction between 'lifting the wipers' and 'lifting the wipers', which seems to be the confusion in this thread.

me too.
(It's in the normal " park" position - horizontal, that they foul the bonnet. A quick flick wipe just after ign off brings them up to 45 degrees and they'll fold out and stay out for screen cleaning - as above)

Back to what I said in my first reply, "read the manual ".

It's also useful in freezing weather as the car can be parked with the wipers off the screen. This prevents them freezing to the glass and facilitates cleaning snow and ice off the screen.
