Have already searched, and no posts to answer my query, as follows ...............
If just one tpms sender fails, will the other three still indicate pressures or will all four fail to show a pressure? This seems unlikely so I suspect the car rather than the tpms senders. Can an OPC do a 'reset' of some sort? I'm taking it in on Monday for something else and they told me 'yes we'll sort it' , that could be OPC speak for 4 new senders.
I ask because I have just had wheels repainted, tyres all off, sensors not disturbed (they told me) but after refitting wheels to the car, a failure to measure / register and show any pressures in over 1000 miles. Tried every wheel/tyre size option but the system is still 'measuring'. I've lowered pressures and re-inflated still no pressure indicated.
Any thoughts?

Top Tip - don't tell the OPC you've had the wheel painted / tyres off outside the network because that will be the reason why they don't work now!
But it does sound too much of a co-incidence for it not to be linked....

Paul - Unfortunately it will be obvious, they are 19" classics now with shiny VG finish, absolutely non-standard, they do look good btw, unless they mistake them for 21" classics! If the OPC is sniffy about me going outside the OPC network to have the wheels painted, I'll be driving away, buying a new set of sensors myself and having them fitted locally. Then again, they fit new sensors foc (ha ha) since the car is only 3 months old. These are my 'spare' wheels so I feel I can do what I want with them, the originals (18") are as new in my garage. Not all OPC's have in-house wheel painting facilities, most send them out to specialists just as I did, although I expect they would sort out the tpms afterwards if faulty. I also think they will have some sort of reset procedure via the OBDC. Then again, the tyre fitters I used may have done some harm to them, all 4 though? I'll report back next week.

Obvious solution here... put the 18s that you have in your garage back on the car. Or at least 2 of them. Drive round for a few miles and see if they pick up. If that doesn't work you could go back with them on as the OPC will then be clear that it can't be the wheels/sensors.

Ian, already considered, a bit tight on time to get it done, will try to fit it in asap. A process of elimination. If the 18's work (I suspect they will) then with the 19's off I can easily fit a new set of sensors.Ian.g wrote: ↑Sat Jul 08, 2017 8:51 am Obvious solution here... put the 18s that you have in your garage back on the car. Slightly on-topic, but this morning, when cold, on the flat, I set my tyre pressures to 23.5 bar front, 25.5 bar rear (my TPMS settings are for light loading on 21s).
I used two separate gauges to verify the pressures.
After 10 mins of driving (city traffic) the TPMS display showed 2.4 bar for both the fronts and 2.7/2.9 for rear left/right.
After parking for a bit and a total of around 40 mins driving (up to 65mph for a while), still 2.4/2.4/2.7/2.9
Not sure what that tells you about the TPMS, but I'm pleased to have checked the pressures manually.
What prompted me to assert the correct pressures was a TPMS low warning for the front right last week (was 2.0, min apparently is 2.1).
Before this, I never saw such a discrepancy across the rear axel.

I find similar discrepancies but mainly on warmer / sunny days. Mine are set to 2.3 / 2.5 with my own guage (normally once every few weeks and in the evening when its cooled down a bit)
Next day, because of the way our drive works, I can often see a 0.1 or 0.2 bar difference side to side as the sun has warmed the o/s up. Soon rights itself once the car has been driven for a bit and I often see 2.5 / 2.7 (ie a 0.2 gain as the tyres warm up)
Just to confirm that the TPS seems to be very accurate.

@Paul, yes, I always thought it was accurate, but to show a .2 bar diff immediately after setting the pressures (verified) and it not being a glitch because it stayed like it, was a new one on me.
