What really wound me up this time when I collected the car was that I asked what Porsche Technical had said and they admitted they hadn't told them on this occasion as it was obvious what the issue was !
I don't recall anyone in this forum having any issues withDPF until the software upgrade. I think it's time for you to escalate your complaint.

There seems to be some inconsistency with the way Porsche UK are handling DPF issues.

We have had members here contacting Porsche UK and then: -

1) a full refund against a petrol alternative is offered

OR

2) they pass it back to the OPC.

So what is it Porsche UK?

When I worked for a manufacturer, it was always the case that these issues were dealt with by the dealer. The dealer will be in close contact with the manufacturer and together they will work out how to structure and fund the deal. Normally the dealer would get an incremental unit but forego all or most of the margin in it to facilitate the switch.

Good outcome and well done for persevering. Will you get into another Macan?

Yes , going for another Macan but going back to Petrol after getting my fingers burned by Euro 6 . Got to go to dealer tomorrow to finalise things but currently its November for a Petrol Macan S or January for a GTS . Current thinking is that we'll go GTS
