I was not worried because we had spent the morning driving up the side of a mountain range and so of course the afternoon was spent mainly braking on the way down. I assume the filter got bunged up during the drive down. After driving home later on normal roads the fault light cleared.
Not bad after 29,000km. Good that it cleared easily 👍
I hope I get much more than that before I got a warning my euro 5 BMW E60 got to over 140K before I got my first warning which was cured by a spirited drive, 30K miles later i sold it to get my 911 without a further warning of the DPF
Yes, so do I to be honest. I don't do much city driving but also don't do much long distance driving. My drive to work is 15 minutes. No warnings as yet :? :? :?

The "old diesels" would generally run for ever and hopefully the Macan SD is the same.

Ad blue top up has just popped up though. I thought it would be nearer 10000 before i saw that.

Ad blue after 6000 miles. Either it wasn't full when you got it or you have been driving it enthusiastically! The harder you drive it, the more it uses I think.

I understand that post 'dieselgate', AdBlue consumption has been increased, so 6k miles is what I would expect? 10-11k on our Audi, prior to software updates and they confirm that consumption will increase.

Yes Ian, I thought it may not have been full. There were 3 bottles in a case in the boot from when i took delivery.

I have just put them in for now. I will fill up in the new year and see how many miles we get from a full tank.

Hopefully your bottles were big enough to make up the minimum amount you should add. I think it is about 5.5 litres. It is printed on the inside of the filler flap if you aren't sure. I think that if you don't put in enough, it doesn't reset the warning and will therefore grind to a halt in 1500 miles.
