Most of my driving is A and B roads. Not too much city and not too much motorway. Work is 12 miles / 15 minutes on A and B roads.

I rarely use sport mode - only for overtaking mainly.

My Macan has had 3 runs to Silverstone (was back again at the weekend) which is probably what it does best - effortless cruising for long distances.

No issues between May 2015 and June 2017. Following software update in June have had 3 of the grey Dpf warning lights which cleared after a short drive. Only use Shell normal diesel.

I have a monthly reminder to go for an hour or more's nice fun drive, if I have done one in the month I don't bother but that's what 7AM on a Sunday is for and so far so good 8K miles in. Keeping it inside the M25 is going to ensure that you get issues.

Do you mean that you get DPF full regen warnings once a month ?

My SD has done 20.5k in just over two years. No DPF problems at all. When it was serviced at 19k the invoice came back "No recalls due" so I'm assuming no software update.

Strange. I bought mine in May 2015 but it showed that it needed the DME "upgrade" when booked in for its first service this May. The good news is that I have not noticed any decrease in mpg or performance. Suspect Adblue consumption will increase in winter.

I was hoping to get a few more "no problems" Macans but I suppose a lot of owners do not look at forums until they have a problem.

Because of the reported faults I thought I should change my driving - drive in manual / drive in sport mode / have a long drive once a month but to be honest I really can't be bothered. I will continue to drive in my "normal mode" and see how it goes. What's the worst that can happen :?
