Thanks for all the replies.
I will try the start/sharp stop routine.
As for the rattling, great shout on recording it and emailing it over to the service person at Porsche Leeds.

Even with drying off the wheels and discs with the dryer I still get a lot of fine dust or rusty dust on my gloss black wheels after the first drive. Not sure I would choose the gloss Blsck wheels again but a GTS with anything else doesn't look right to me.

Hi Guys.
The squeak turned up on my nearside front a few months ago, it does seem intermittent and usually when I've just started a journey.
I read somewhere on the web:
"Use a milk spray, lotion or cream on the back of the pads"
I'll pop into the Porsche Dealer and pick up a pint.

Another example of nonsense on the net.
The age old fix for brake squeaks on disc brakes has been a tiny smear of high temperature grease on the back of the pad.
But in your case I'd have the dealer look at it. It's under warranty so they won't milk you.

Cheers Guys,
I am a bit worried about going to the main dealer because I'm concerned I'll end up getting "skimmed"
I usually do.
Seriously I have to be careful ... I could end up going in for a brake squeak and end up ordering another car.
My MacAn will be three years old next March, and I'm starting to wonder ...
Its on a PCP deal and its done 25k miles
do I chop it in for another?
do I keep it and get an extended warranty?
do I sell it and and get myself something sensible?
There must be thread about this somewhere on the forum .. can anyone point me to the "What ... If" section of the forum?

Yep this is normal ... although I don’t have it yet on the GTS although had it on my 640d .... I have also changed the way I brake , instead of a constant pressure in the pedal to come to a stop , I brake hard ( when conditions are suitable) release and then brake again , I read that this also takes the heat out of the pads and prolongs disc pad life. I have a rattle occasionally from the engine bay but it sound like a lose cam chain( type of noise but not always there... and doesn’t intrude into the cabin.
Macan GTS.Vol/ grey turbo 21s, Bose, Panroof, heated seats and steering wheel, 18 way , red belts, LEDs, light comf mem, privacy , compass, 18 spare wheel, aluminium inserts, auto dim mirrors, smoked,r/rails,p/assi. CAYMAN GTS now
I too sometimes experience squeaky brake / brakes on my 2 year old Turbo.
As said above I brake hard a couple of times once in a while to clear it.
