"Fuel dilution" (when the sump oil is diluted by diesel oil) is a result of diesel leaking past the piston rings. My experience is only with big diesels (BR locomotives) but when it occurs there is usually an associated injector problem. The injector fails to deliver fully atomised fuel and neat fuel sprays onto the cylinder wall.

As Nick is suggesting, you need an oil sample. If you haven't added any oil and the problem is not with the level sensor then fuel or coolant is the likely source. In either case you need to solve the cause and replace the contaminated oil.
