hi all, Just wondered if anyone has had this message on the display.

Oil level above maximum visit workshop soon.. The graphic is in orange.

The message only appears when i check the oil level, It has not popped up on its own.

I've booked it in for next week in Leeds. Service guy said they would check it while i wait, About 30 mins to an hour

Cheers

Strange. You had the engine at normal temperature, stopped one minute, the car on level ground? Will be interesting to hear what the OPC concludes.

The question is have you added oil? If so it’s your fault and if not OPC need to sort. Oil level over max is not a good status and needs to be resolved ASAP

Get it back to OPC ASAP and get them to investigate

Is it petrol or diesel? Unusual for petrol engines to have increasing sump levels but it does happen in diesels and should be checked out promptly. Diesel can leak into the engine thus contaminating the engine oil and increasing the level.

If the initial investigation is inconclusive and they adjust the oil level and suggest you continue to monitor it I would ask them to send off a sample for analysis. Mention that before they start so they retain some oil.
