Problem solved! I took the car on a decent run, keeping the rpm above 2k. After about 25 miles, both stop/start and coasting suddenly started working again.
So I guess the battery had got into a state of low charge (even though voltage indications appeared normal). Presumably the result of only doing short journeys over several weeks combined with frequent use of seat heating etc.
No stop/start, no coasting

A CTEK is the answer if you can get mains to the car, you could leave it connected for months if required or use it overnight weekly in the winter.Makanik wrote: ↑Mon Jan 29, 2018 6:15 pm Problem solved! ^This. You'd have no complaints from me either. I actually asked at the OPC if they could disable it but they said they used to but word had come back from Germany that they weren't allowed to anymore. I just drive everywhere in Sport or Sport+ now.
