Adblue Self Fill - Any Tips?
IKEA have a long narrow spout watering can plastic so to speak as do garden centre for £1, very thin neck fits into filler hole, so I decant into this allows plenty of air for a balanced fill, never used the Flexi spout on the 10 litre packs, always check the add blu code, agricultural and bus addblue may be different, Mazda garages tend to have the on with vw group accreditation.
I wouldn't fancy lifting that up and slow feeding it in.

After the warning message at the weekend, I filled my adblue tank a couple of days ago (at 17,300 miles). This was its second top up - 10 litres were added at the first service (11,000 miles).
I bought 20 litres from the local VW dealer for about £26, and the hose is a VW one that I purchased a while back:
I first tried using the hose, but found it very slow - for some reason it wasn't working as designed to let the air transfer and avoid a vacuum. I then reverted to using the little plastic 'funnels' that you can see attached to each container and the process took seconds, with no spillage. All 20 litres went in easily.

Jeez, what a fiasco. Got my £7.99 Eurocarparts 10l bottle and all started well, but at around 3 litres, it started backing out of the tube. Tried my pop bottle and filtered funnel technique and same. Tried that on the Q5 and it simply guzzled the AdBlue? In the end I reckon the Macan has only taken about 3L at 8700 miles, yet the AdBlue warning has now gone out and no messages in the MFD?
I give up.
I give up.

Drive the car around the block and it should then take the rest without any difficulty. I had the same problem with my first top-up and got this tip from another forum member.nsm3 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 29, 2018 12:33 pm Jeez, what a fiasco. Funnily enough, I added 10L as a precaution before a long holiday trip (no warning light) in August and all 10L went in without problem. Maybe there's an issue if the tank is nearly empty.

I filled my car up with Adblue last weekend. After 3 or 4 litres I reversed down my drive and then back again to let the contents settle in the tank and after that it took another 6 litres.On-Track wrote: ↑Thu Nov 29, 2018 12:52 pmDrive the car around the block and it should then take the rest without any difficulty.
