I haven't come across this one before... I have the Xenons on an SD, March 17, so almost 1 year old. At the weekend I had washed the windscreen so many times that the headlamp washers popped up but didn't really wash. If I press the button now, I can hear the pump running but nothing comes out. Becasue they go straight back down, it isn't possible to look at the jets and see if they are blocked. And before anyone asks, water comes out of all of the other jets (back and front) so I don't think that topping up the reservoir will make any difference. And no warning lights/messages to suggest that it is empty.
I presume that the tubing has blocked somewhere and it needs a trip back to OPC to sort out. Any other ideas?

It could be a low reservoir. Certainly our Yeti will not wash the headlamps if the water level gets below a certain point in order to preserve supplies for the screen.

I suppose that might be a sensible thing to do. I will fill it up before I ring the OPC. I would look a bit daft if that sorted it out!

Yes! I'd be interested to hear if that's the answer.

My Old X5 had a fluid saving measure like that.

Problem solved! I braved the rain to go out and fill it up before I went to collect my son - now it works fine. It seems a bit odd to set it up so that part of the system stops working before the low fluid warning message comes up - oh well. Now I know. Thanks Nick.

Ah at least you're not leaving with your tail between your legs. And can face them another day. 😕
