Ok thanks all

Looks like all is quite normal other than the price. The price seems a bit steep given it is only a Golf GTi engine under the bonnet

Looking forward to the courtesy car, cuppa, look around the facility and chat with the sales team about a 911

If I was worried about service costs I would not have bought a Porsche 😀

Just checked my dash, again and it says oil in 16,300 miles (currently 3k) or 10/2019, which is 2 years. Is this 10k oil change only for petrol variants?

20k for for my petrol Turbo. I suspect the diesel has condition monitoring and will call up an oil change based on usage pattern.

Oil change at 10k for my DS..

A friends 2015 Macan DS never had came up with an oil change warning. She just sold it for the Maserati Levante after a troubled 3 yr’s of DPF ‘limp mode’ issues and a fortune spent each time it went into dealership to sort, as ‘she wasn’t driving it right’ 😯

GTi's Macan is the petrol 2.0. My Panamera 4 with 3.0 petrol V6 engine asked for its first oil service at 10k miles. The OPC charged me 'only' £300.

They said that my car has condition monitoring. Although shortly after the 10k oil change, it said I'd need another oil change in only 10k miles!?

The car has flashed up that it needs this oil service and the dealer confirmed. Anyone else had this in advance of the 20k or 2 year service. Seems a bit daft as it will be 2 years old in October and will require a full service then as well

I'd question why it's £430 when the norm seems to be more like £300.

When the OPC changed my oil at 10k miles, they said the 20k service would be cheaper than normal if the car didn't need another oil change at that point.

I did question the price so gave them the option to try and reduce it. For the sake of £100 I am happy to continue to be loyal to the dealership as they have looked after me and I want to try and give them the first chance to get me in to a 911

Oil change interval is 10K miles.
On the SD it's two years or 20k miles. Mind you the car also monitors usage and the distance can come in.

Mine is mainly used on long runs and when I took it in for its two year service, oil change was showing 19,700 miles. As of today with just under 26k on the clock it needs a full service in 14200 miles, intermediate service in 13400 miles and an oil change in 12700 miles. The car has done 6400 miles since its two year service. Perhaps gtipirelli's usage includes local journeys.

I'm not sure it's that simple/logical, as my Panamera wanted oil after 10k miles and it's used overwhelmingly for longer motorway runs... :?
