My Macan S petrol seems to judder at slow acceleration on 1st gear and sometimes 2nd gear too at around 2000 rpm. It felt like it was about to shift a gear up but then decided not to, judder a bit, then shifts up at around 2400 rpm.

Never quite able to show that when I took it to OPC. Also won't happen when I put the foot down on accelerator. More often when I am stuck at traffic and go gentle with the throttle. Have any of you had similar experience?

No similar experience but others have described similar issues which, unfortunately, often have pointed to a failing transfer box. Having said that, this doesn't seem quite the same. What mileage has the car done? Is it still under warranty? If it is, make sure the issue is documented with the OPC before the warranty runs out. You may have to live with it until it becomes more identifiable as a fault. Would a video recording show up the symptoms?

You might try the PDK reset procedure. Have a read of this thread:

Others have tried it apparently with some success.

The car has done 38k miles. Reported that in the past but it behaves when it was with OPC. But I have emails and stuff with the SA, also has extended warranty so hopefully will be covered either way.

And yes it feels different from the transfer box issue. As the car will go in for some warranty work in two weeks, I will once again ask to have the issue looked into. And will try to demonstrate that to an engineer. Hopefully better luck this time.

Are you going to try the reset procedure?

Good that you have an extended warranty.

Please keep us informed.

I did that a while back. Can't remember if it had this problem then.

My plan is not doing another reset until after the visit to OPC.

The final verdict is that It needs a new transfer box, currently on back order.

Ah, bummer! At least that will sort it. Are they putting you in something else?
