Am I alone in finding the fan/wind noise level high in the Macan? Especially noticeable now in warmer weather when the system has to work harder. It’s got to the point I take the a/c off Auto and keep the fan below level 3.

Both my Macans had/have the same problem.

I do exactly the same, put it in manual control.

Totally agree. Hate fan noise in a car. I generally work the temperatures down gradually so it doesn’t have to work too hard. We don’t generally have a problem with too much heat here in Northern Ireland lol.

I agree it’s noisy.

You can change the air flow rate in settings, but even on the soft setting it’s still noisy.

Thats a conclusive result from a scientific poll.

Window noise is bad too but not as bad as my last Golf. That would have given concussion.

Keep as many vents open as possible, fast air is intrinsically noisy.

I keep it on auto and the default speed for cooling is high but only ran for 20 seconds yesterday.

I have reduced setting to Soft and will see what the missus says when she is next in car. It’s so distracting when she starts pressing buttons. KEEP YOUR HANDS OFF THE BUTTONS FFS.

+1 - Especially the ones for the back seats. I have found that when you open those wide most of the wind noise disappears - as will the airflow / cooling power at the front.
