White foam behind engine cover?

Hi all,

I've just opened the bonnet on my 2017 Macan SD and found some stuff that looks like foam (hard to the touch, though), just behind the engine cover. I've attached some pics to show the location more clearly.

Thought I'd post on here, whilst I'm waiting for my OPC to call me back, to see if anyone had any ideas? The car's under warranty but hope it's nothing serious!

Thanks,

Neil

Looks like some chemical reaction of sorts....crystals forming on a pipe with a split? (difficult to see exactly from the pics)
Looks a bit like Adblu crystals (only, of course, if it’s a diesel😳)

I cannot see why adblue would be in the engine bay. Surely the adblue is injected much further down the exhaust system. Is it more likely to be a leak from the air conditioning system ?

Probably correct with "not adblue" comment.

At least car is still under warranty. Hopefully easy fix with replacement hose.

OP mentioned “my 2017 Macan SD”.

Very curious as to what that foam is and hope it’s an easy fix.

Thanks for the replies all. My OPC typically didn’t ring me back, so will get it booked in this morning and see what they say...

It's a split Adblu pipe.
I had exactly the same problem with my last SD.
I was told not to drive but to phone Porsche Assistance who recovered it from home within 2 hours and delivered a loan E class estate before the recovery vehicle had left.
