I bought my 3.5k miles used Macan in May, trading in my 3 year old SD. Both have Pano sunroofs.
For a while, I’ve heard a metalic type rattle from near the offside drivers air vent on rough roads.
Was convinced it was related to the bonnet hinge / adjuster.
Took it into the OPC last week for 1st service, and a warrantee fix for the rattle.
Senior Technician drove us up the road - he could hear it too () - had no idea what it was ().
Collected the car later that day.
- Was a complicated fix.
- There is an allen-key like tool to shut the pano roof in an emergency ( battery failure etc).
- There is a fuse box on the driver’s A-post
- Key wasn’t clipped into the fuse cover lid properly... .
After 4 years of Macan ownership - who knew!
Yep - RTFM......
Who knew ? Pano roof emergency key rattle

Interesting discovery. I wonder what the other little gadget (next to the Pano roof key) is for? It's either RTFM or wait for someone on the forum to tell me.

The wee white yoke is for gripping fuses, I believe. Not sure about the long thingy.

Spare a thought for those of us who actually took time to RTFM, and almost immediately forgot what we read.
