Today I noticed the the rear tailgate button, the one on the wiper, is not working.
The tailgate opens fine off the remote but the button on the wiper does nothing.
I pretty much always use the remote anyway but I'm now concerned if that fails then I'm stuck.
Anyone else had this issue?
My Macan is a 2017 Diesel S so is still under warrantee but its a 100 mile round trip to the dealer for me.

There is also a button on the driver’s door-card, but the tailgate button should work nonetheless.

Look at the control switches/buttons on the drivers door and you will see a button to release the tailgate.

Two answers for the price of one.

Paul and I should really gets some lives, 16:15 on a Wednesday (it is a Wednesday is it not, they all merge when work was a thing of the past) and all we have to do is browse forums.

Its a hard life.

Nice one folks, I will go and check that button now and report back.

::.Edit.:: Hurrar, that button works... so I can now relax and get it looked at when the next service is due.

Thanks once again.

Might the child lock button also disable the boot button?

It won't work if the car is locked. (Pressing the tailgate open on the key unlocks the car at the same time). If you have entry and drive then you have an issue, but the tailgate button won't initiate the car unlocking.

Do remember the child locks in the rear work a bit differently.
