Yes, that’s about the price, original is usually a Varta 95 or 105 ah and can be purchased for app £200, looks like a limited mark up unless it’s aon branded battery they are quoting.

If it does come to that and the battery needs to be changed just be aware that fitting a battery from the likes of Halfords could lead to warranty issues.

To me it is not worth the hassle to use any other sourced parts rather than OPC supplied parts.

I fitted an AGM battery to my E Class several years ago, Halfords were actually more expensive than the Merc Dealer.

A Varta AGM costs £193 plus delivery. So OPC are not wide of the mark. There was a video see where they replace a Macan battery, its interesting to see that at 1:30 they use PWIS to register a battery change its type and serial number.

After talking to my dealer it seems Porsche are particularly "German" in following process and will bounce warranty claims, if given any opportunity. Hence why the dealer likes Videos of any issue because they have to justify any work.

Moral is if under warranty you need to be careful and take a video of any issue.
