My Macan has just been in for its second visit in 6 weeks (and health check). Various things different - the tyres are now much lower (OK, 1200 miles more, but the comments are different, including "bald on outer edge" - but this is no different), a new "cut" has been noticed in a rear tyre - I suppose this could be new. The front brake pads have gone from 7mm to 6mm - OK - but the rear ones have gone from 7mm to 8mm. Interesting!
I think there must be a degree of subjectivity in this. They have also noticed a new engine oil lead - but it might just be a drip. Oh well.

I queried mine with OPC yesterday and they appeared to be a little shocked - albeit did mutter something about ‘visual checks’, which I let pass.

I think a mechanic may be called in for a few words!

But not good enough.

The Macan I purchased 2 months ago was bought back by the OPC at no loss to me and another sold to me at a reasonable discount. The reasons are covered in another thread, I experienced substandard presale inspection on the first Macan, I found badly damaged pan roof seals and the front 12v socket didn't work after handover. Then yesterday I had to demand copies of the presale inspection on my replacement Macan, they were eventually supplied to me without the brake disc, pads and tyre measurement sheets. When they eventually appeared all 12 tread depths were recorded as 7.0mm on 3 tyres with 4000 miles on them and one new one. I requested a tread depth gauge and measured the depths between 6.6mm and 7.28mm and queried the recorded depths with the OPC service manager to be informed the tech had rounded off the measurements incorrectly,, no shit Einstein. I've owned two Macans in the last two months both from the same OPC and I've been left with no confidences in their workshop standards at all. Given the first Macan had to be replaced I assumed extra care would be taken to ensure everything was completed correctly before handover of the replacement, how wrong was I. Then when I got the replacement home I found the manuals in a sealed unopened bag and the maintenance manual hadn't been stamped and the delivery data hadn't been entered. I wonder if our problems are with the same OPC..

1st service and Vehicle Health Check - I had the service done, paid the bill, but there was no VHC form when I collected the car. So the next day I phoned and asked for it to be emailed. The speedo mileage on the invoice was correct, but on the VHC form it was 4,576 miles less! but the reg. no. was correct.

The tyre sizes were shown as 19" front and 20" rear!!!! I checked the tyres before taking it in and noted the depths. The tread depths shown on the form were all lower than reality and even differed from the first section on the form [on page 1.] to the last section [on page3.]. !!!!!!!

The discs and pads reading did not state the percentage worn / remaining  - just the reading in mm.

Radiator showed needed topping up on the form, but it hasn't been done.

Following my next phone call, they somewhat reluctantly re-issued a corrected form. I just hope that the Porsche data base has been corrected too.
