You should be getting live services, traffic etc already.
And yes, maps can be updated over the air.

Both the above covered extensively in previous posts today and quite recently.

Ah, sorry, my mistake. I'd assumed as 'new owner' you got a gen 2 car. I see now yours is 2016 so won't have live traffic etc unless it has Connect Plus.
Depends what you now want to add. Go to the Tequipment site, put in your car model and it will present what is available.

ironically i just want to use google maps navigation.

the stock navigation is a waste of time with no live traffic update or more to the point the more detailed route information available on live services like google.

we've resorted to keep using a mobile phone with google maps navigation.
