Picked up my new Macan 1 week ago and am slowly making my way through the owners handbook......and came across the section for "emergency key"........Ive managed to remove it from the main key body but cannot for the life of me work out under what circumstances I would be able to use it?

The car has no keyholes......so what use is this key? :?

Pull out the door handle and it is underneath in the plastic piece revealed by pulling out the handle.

You can also use it to lock the glove-box.

When my car had its electrical gremlins and would not open with the remote control, I used the key to unlock it.

Pull the handle out and you will see a black plastic tab. Pull the tab and it comes out to reveal the key hole. Pop the key in an turn clockwise, it’s quite difficult. Keep turning until you feel the lock turn and that’s the door unlocked.
So when is this ‘old enough to know better’ supposed to kick in ?
