Given that the parts are seriously expensive (sensor = £400, pump = £800), correct diagnosis is essential. I don't know if the system on the Cayenne is the same as that on the Macan but I would get the OPC to check the pump.

Thanks for the update. At those prices I am now glad that I had the two-year warranty extension - I only took it out in case the transfer box went again!

So 8 weeks into ownership and I got the "Engine Control Fault" yesterday. The car went into limp mode so I pulled over when safe to do so and restarted the engine. The fault cleared straight away.

Should I contact OPC or just leave it and see if it happens again?

I once had the same in my 2015 SD. It didn’t come back. However I did get the limp mode on my current car in late 2018 when it had to be flat bedded to Porsche Leeds foe the dpf to be cleared.

Low Adblue warning the next day - 650 miles to go. Now that warning has disappeared too. So I have no idea if the AdBlue level is low or not. It's not come back on and i have done another 140 miles?

I would. Maybe an AdBlue sensor or pump fault (I had the latter, but the OPC originally suspected the pump).

Are you sure that the warning was "Low AdBlue"? The Low AdBlue warning starts with 1500 miles to go before no engine restart. The AdBlue fault that I had starts with 650 miles to go. The fact that the fault disappeared leans more towards fault than low AdBlue. The only difference between my experience and the symptoms you describe is in my case the car did not go into limp home mode.

Take the car to the OPC you bought it from as soon as they reopen. As you'll see from my earlier posts in this thread, parts and labour are expensive.

I tried ringing the OPC yesterday. They are open but phone just never gets answered.

The second warning was definately low Adblue. I now have 20L in stock!!!

Thanks for that. I have no problem refilling the Adblue, if it needs it. It's the engine fault and maybe false Adblue warning that concerns me.

If your car is low on Adblue it will take most if not all of the 20L. Mind you that would mean that the car had not been topped up before it was sold to you.
