Hi there! First time owning a Porsche Macan S Diesel. Has anyone had a vibration from under the bonnet when starting? Last a couple of seconds and then runs fine - sounds like a fan or a sort of knocking noise. Will be taking it to Porsche but wondered if anyone has any ideas what it could be?

Thanks a lot!

Ps - mine is impulse red, which I love :D

Welcome.

Possibly engine mounts, it was a known issue with some Macans particularly SDs.

Thank you, certainly sounds like it could be something like that. Is that a major fix? I’m guessing (and hoping) not, albeit under warranty.

Check for a thread on the bonnet catches and associated rubber bungs. That might be a solution?

I have something like a heat shield rattle on start up and sometimes at very low revs. It first came at about 10,000 miles. I mentioned it at service time but there was no report back and it’s slightly worse now.

Thanks folks! I would probably describe it as a rattle, you can hear it outside and inside the car, so significant enough.

I reported the rattle again today and they supposedly adjusted the heat shield.
