With the darker nights now here, I've noticed my headlight covers on both sides of my 718 have a sort of crazing on them when viewed from above. From the front its not apparent. I wonder if the structural integrity of the cover would be affected and whether it would shatter if hit by a stone? I have mailed OPC with the pics and am awaiting their comments.

I would say no cracking is good, no matter how small, temperature changes and moisture can only make it worse over time. If it is outside perhaps it could be polished to improve it but you really should expect new lenses from Porsche in my opinion. Hope they resolve it to your satisfaction

Update.
I called in to Belfast OPC yesterday. The SA was puzzled by the crazing and took the car in to the garage to get photos etc for a possible warranty claim.
About twenty minutes later, he appeared sheepishly stating that a service bulletin was issued on 18 September outlining exactly this issue. The bulletin stated that the cause was excessive force being used when cleaning, apparently. He asked me who did my car cleaning. I replied that I did, using only Ultimate Finish Snow Foam and a Karcher K4 pressure washer. My car has never been touched by a sponge, or a mitt or a polisher. I only use snow foam and power wash it off. He took all these details and said he would contact Porsche GB.
Beware 911 owners as the lights are very similar.
Am I the only one who smells a rat here?

Excessive force sounds a bit unlikely to me, unless they're claiming very close application of a high pressure jet, or a pulsing jet. Cracking damage to plastics in general is more likely due to sunlight or chemicals but not headlights I'd have thought.

If I only used snow foam and then rinsed off with my Karcher K2, my car would never be properly clean.
I’d want Porsche to be more specific about what they mean by excessive force when cleaning. Do they mean a pressure washer, or excess pressure used when cleaning with a mitt or sponge etc?
I agree, something seems very fishy here...

Update. I had one of the PGB surveys following my visit. I normally score them all 10s as they're usually pretty good. This time, I didn't though.
Yesterday the DP rang me to smooze all over me in his inimitable style. Apparently, I'm a long term, valued customer and he wants that to remain (actually, so do I). He proposed a three way split between PGB, Belfast OPC and me which would result in a not insignificant contribution on my behalf. I asked for final figures before I decide what to do.
