Interesting. I suspect that with entry and drive there is an issue, but it’s not significant enough for a redesign (in Porsche’s eyes only). Annoying if your car is under warranty but a genuine pest if not. Mine are so bad the kids catch their hands on them, just waiting to get back to the OPC for replacements.

I have the entry and drive system in my 2019 Macan and thought my handles were fine. Upon closer inspection by way of the wife’s make-up mirror I actually found all 4 handles have cracks underneath.

Not visible from looking at the car but enough that I want to get them replaced under warranty.

Whilst I am at it, I have also sent pictures of my pitted tailpipes.

The predicament is, from reading threads on both the above issues it would seem that replacement parts are not any kind of updated version so there’s a good chance they’ll end up exactly the same in time.

I've just booked my GTS in for it's 40K service and mentioned my cracked handle.
OPC said that Porsche are currently redesigning them and had issued instructions to only replace those with actual splits - ones that are just cracked (including mine after I'd sent in photos) they are now advising to wait until the new design is released. So I'm currently on their to-do list ;)
No mention of when this will happen though

Good thanks to know. I'd prefer to wait out for a redesigned version as long as its not a way of fobbing you off. After all, I don't think the door handles have changed since 2014! I had to search for the cracks on mine, and with them being at the underside I wouldn't have known without this forum. I suspect there are probably a few macan owners that have something similar and are not aware.
I have seen some pics where the cracks are on the top and fully visible which is obviously not a good look on a porsche so luckily mine haven't reached that yet.
The service advisor said he will show the pics to the technicians and see whether they think they can put a warranty claim in but we'll see what they come back with.
The worst part of the experience is when i double checked the loaner wouldn't be the fiesta, and was told no it's better than that, it's a kia Niro. Needless to say I have accepted a two week further wait for a porsche macan loaner. After all, I bought a porsche. An equivalent courtesy car is a basic expectation.

I might be one of the earlier ones that had the handles replaced in early 2018. Took a while to convince PCGB that it should be replaced under warranty. My previous gen 1 also has the entry and drive. I am glad if they are to redesign it.

Entry and drive is a function that I miss.

Looks like there is a newer D revision of these handles.

Why wouldn't they be covered by warranty - they're not fit for purpose and Porsche GB know this? Had mine replaced, no questions asked.

I no longer have a warranty but they were repaired under warranty last time , the porche centre said the repair isn’t warranted
