So am I right- I buy at Autodoc - the textar pads because these are exactly same as the genuine pads, and the genuine Porsche disc at 911design? To get a genuine Porsche pack? Would I need to change the pad indicator cables and bolts etc..?
Sorry for the dumb questions…. I’m not so confident in these areas….

I put a parts list and other info like bolt torque etc in this thread - viewtopic.php?f=29&t=10516
You'll need (or it's recommended), 4 replacement caliper bolts, 2 pad retainers/springs and you may need a second sensor, the porsche pads for some reason only come with a single sensor.
To be honest I'd speak to your local OPC parts department and see if they'll match the prices I posted, I've been happy with the prices I've paid for genuine parts. The 'net total' is what my local OPC discounted each item down to for me.
It's correct that a lot of these companies manufacture for OEM but it's not always the same quality, some of the issues I've seen with 'aftermarket' Brembo pads etc are shocking.

Thanks Guys! Really appreciate the help! I will start to shop around and see what deals are there!

Nice one, I should’ve said my cars an SD but it gives you an idea of the level of discount to expect at least.

If you haven’t got any pads sorted out yet, a good company to try is EBC. They do many pads and discs for competition use. But for normal road use it’s probably best to stick with pads for road use, as the competition ones need heat before they work efficiently.
Thanks Traveller for advise - yes - EBC are very good - i remember going to Northampton and putting them on my RSQ3 previously - however - i will be sticking to the genuine porsche disc and the textar pads because i have just renewed my warranty for 2 years.

If in doubt check out Pelican - best write ups around (same style as the boxster and 996/997 repair manual)
