And a question for the OP: Is there a regulation that you cannot fit an electric door to a garage unless there is separate pedestrian access? I wasn't aware of this.

Maybe not a regulation but how do you get into the garage if the power has failed unless you have another access point. Just good sense really.

Most electric door have (or can be fitted with) externally accessible manual overrides, so I can't imagine a major problem.

Hi Paul,

Thanks for the photo's .
The metal brackets start to inpinge at 120 CM from the ground ( curve in from the edge) so it will deffo be a try it in the garage to see, it's gonna be close with mirrors out but once you have lined it up, mirrors in .
Thanks Again

Ah, the old internet myth that sports design mirrors don’t fold on a Macan! 😉😉

(Mine certainly do👍)
Hi Paul,

I'd had forgotten about the Macan Sports mirrors folding but we did sell it in Aug 17 !!

Yes, both my auto garage doors have release devices, key operated on the outside, cable operated on the inside.

Have always had internal manual releases on my electric doors but didn't realise you also got external.

So then why does the OP say electric doors are not an option as there is no pedestrian access??
